Michelle's Story

What would I have done without PPSP when I was a high school senior back in 1972?

I needed birth control and certainly couldn’t talk to my Main Line mother about it! She had a hard enough time trying to educate me about menstruation. She read me a book when I was 9 yrs old that talked about flower pollination!

When I finally spoke to a girlfriend about it, it was like a light went on! Oh, my poor mother hated talking about human reproduction! So when I was in high school and by that time had gotten the full scoop, PPSP was my savior! It was on Pine St. in Philly back then, so I would take the train in on Saturdays when I needed a new prescription. I was and am still very grateful.
